Accessories, Fashion, Jasmine Alexander, Jewellery, SS10, Womenswear | No CommentsHailed as the Vivienne Westwood of the British jewellery industry, new girl on the block, Jasmine Alexander, is taking the jewellery world by storm with her unique fine jewellery designs and anti-establishment messages. Always remaining true to herself, it is Jasmine’s integrity and sheer hard work that have propelled her luxurious and eccentric creations into the international jewellery market in less than two years.
This has now been confirmed as British Jewellery Week has selected Jasmine Alexander as one of their three Ambassadors. The event launched at London Jewellery Week’s Treasure exhibition in June and the national tour will continue by visiting towns across the country to promote the best in British talent until November. The next confirmed London date is Wednesday 7th July at Wave Jewellery in Beauchamp Place in London. The Ambassadors have been chosen as the most exciting and unique work in contemporary jewellery design and hailed as the rising stars of the British jewellery industry.
In an industry where new designers are often conditioned to adhere to the traditional rules of the game, Jasmine’s work is a blast of fresh air reflecting her passion for poetry and the English language with visual prose. Each exquisite design is loaded with contextualised messages and ideals of love and its interaction with society. This is jewellery for anyone looking for something to make a bold statement about individual expression with considered thought.
Discerning luxury for the discerning mind….
After launching her first collection alongside world renowned fashion designer Sir Paul Smith in 2008, this London based designer recently unveiled her second collection, Victus, at the elite Couture show in Las Vegas and was been nominated for the Bright Young Gems Award 2009 by esteemed Editors such as Jessica Diamond (Tatler) Vivienne Becker (FT).
Jasmine continues to work from her central London studio but her work can be seen around the country as part of the British Jewellery Week tour. The next confirmed London date is Wednesday 7th July at Wave Jewellery in Beauchamp Place in London.
